Working with computers all my life, it has occurred to me 2 types of employment working with computers.
I am not quite sure what to call it, but it has something to do with Front Wheel drive and Rear Wheel drive. Or something like a rickshaw and a wagon.

At time in my life, Ive been at the front of technology. We are forging ahead into territory we do not know about and we are exploring the possibilities of ourselves and technology. My coworkers are pushing me and I am pushing them. I possibly feel behind the crew in technological knowledge in some matters, and it is great because I am learning from them but also with them.

Now at other times, I feel like I have been pulling along people unexperienced with technology. I am teaching and trying to have them catch up to where I am at. The subject matter is old hat, and I am trying to get them up to date.

Teaching is an altruistic thing. Is it worth us slowing down for others? Or should we just blaze ahead?
