Before we actually start, lets pick a color. Keep that number ready.

Now…
When typing text in a comment or in just one field or table, and you only are concerned with that individual field, you can use this code:

and to change the size also, use this:

The most basic of what you want to create is:

put that in your profile and you will change the color of most of the text.

How do I insert a video into facebook?

The book barely mentions this, but it is possible! Heres how you do it:

First things first, you must have the video already hosted by another website. So this means they are basically giving in to what the people want (post videos on their profile), rather than inspiring creativity like myspace might be doing by hosting their own videos. thats fine. I just wanted to point that out. maybe its better this way. its very clean here.

click on Posted Items on the left side
Now, you copy the URL of the video you want to insert into your profile.
paste that link into the Post a Link field on the right.

It will now appear on the Posted Items or Mini-feed section on your profile

These videos actually work well and look great on the site. kudos to facebook for making it simple like this.

also, I hear there are sites that have a button to “share on facebook” where you can share straight from their site. they use the word “partner” in the description, so that makes it sound boring. But look out for that.

You can press the share button to send the video to your friends too

also, they made a bookmarklet function. you install it by dragging the icon to your bar ( which is pretty cool actually ). I haven’t done it because I dont want any more crap on my machine. but this is just another option with this share function.

I just spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out what Ismail Ax means. What was supposed to be written on the killers arm in the VT shootings. This is starting to become ridiculous though.

Just another example of someone so self-involved, so self-righteous, they think what they are doing is so profound. They want to change the entire world. This reminds me of the movie Seven, or other movies with the genius psychokiller. This kid was obviously (in American Idol’s words) affected.
Did you see his picture of him with the hammer??? lame. get real.

Does he think this is really revenge? This is a footnote. barely. . you can’t change people by killing them. Theres some quote that says “Its better to live for a cause than to die for one.”

When you are in High School and even college, and a lot of times after that too, there are these immature people – who have these grandiose ideas. Is this megalomania? These people think everything they do has meaning and should be studied for years to come, because they were at a level above everyone. heres the question: can you even name the columbine killers? dylan was one I think. clebold? im not even going to look it up. nor link to it. No person below 25 will be profound. At least Kurt Cobain and the rest were 28. Dean, Jimi, whoever, they were all talented or good looking but none knew anything about life. dying early does not prove anything. killing doesnt either – look at the US govt. Nietszche was the closest thing we’ve had to the overman, and he did not kill anyone for it, he went mad because he saw a horse being flogged. consider his moustache.

and now this ismail ax is a web riddle?? How ridiculous I am wasting my time on this kids game? Killers like this aren’t meant to be studied. This is a feigned psychopath. It seems that he idolized what we see in movies and computer games as the evil mastermind killer. (I am in no way blaming them for this, FOX news)

So, I know its a big mystery, and its fun to solve puzzles and all… but do we really have to waste time with this crap? Something one person thought was so clever? At most lets be constructive, but at the least, just figure out the worlds most impossible quiz game!

How do I make my background a picture or image in myspace?

To put in an image as your background picture,

Digital and Analog Friends

I am always looking for ways to put real life situations in to classifications.

I propose we group our friends in two ways: digital and analog.

Digital friends meaning the people where we can pick up with at any period of time. Our history doesnt make us friends, its the connection that does. Never a ‘why havent you called??’ and no animosity because of it. My crazy schedule (and moodiness) has basically made all my friends digital.

Analog friends can be temporal. They might have to be. These people are generally needy. They need a reminder every few days that, yes, you are still with them. These may also people who are friends with you because of your daily schedule. Its not that they need the consistency, its the consistency that creates the friendship. Your college roommate might be this type. Your girlfriend or boyfriend may very well be this type. Your coworkers are probably this type.

Lets bring it into the lexicon. Digital and Analog friends.

If you are putting a video into your profile, you put the video code in whichever box you want it to be shown.

As for layout changes and css code, you should put it inside the ABOUT ME section. If you want to add code to code you already put in, you should insert it somewhere inside the style tags – to be more precise, put it right before the line which has the “/style” in it. That basically says that this is the end to your formatting code.

You can basically put the code wherever though. Just try it. and Send your questions!

How do I find the friend I want to put in my top friends list?

I have been having the problem where I have too many friends, and now its nearly impossible to find the friends I want to put in my top friends list. When it gets to over a thousand, it just becomes unmanageable.

I could not find any solutions on the net (only that the friends were in order of their ID numbers, based on when they signed up for myspace) , but after playing around for a while on myspace, I figured it out!

Here is how to find the friend you want to put in your top friends list, when you have a redunkulous amount of friends…

First, Open up Notepad. This is a great program to use for editing code because it is a small program which won’t slow down your computer and it won’t mess up any code you put in there with formatting. Its a great scratchpad for working with and analyzing code.

Now, you get the friends ID number. Save it somewhere (notepad).

Go to Change my “top friends”
click on the 2nd page of friends. This changes the address completely, and therein lies the solution.
copy and paste it in notepad, it will look like this:

Is it apparent now? In the list of top friends, you take the friend ID which you want to be in your top friend list, and replace the person you want to take out. The first friend in the list is clear to see, but the others have 2C ahead of them. Just leave that part in and replace the ID numbers.
To find who the person is in the ID you are removing, either count off, or plug it in here:

You can do this in the address bar or here in notepad. Either way, put the new address in and go to that page. You did it! amazing. I feel good.

You upload a picture, and then you select what you want to see yourself as. The one with the most anticipation for me is the Older face. Kinda ruins it for you. the teenage versions do kind of remind me of myself, I will have to check out the pictures. Overall, its worth a shot
